Even though the economic situation is dire and the nation’s housing and banking industries have been hit hard, Baxter still has an unbounded faith in this country.

“People need to understand this is still the greatest country in the world,” he said. “We all need to give thanks for what we have, not what we don’t have.”

With the quiet enthusiasm of new citizen, Baxter said the patriotism displayed by citizens is what gives the nation its strength. And on Thanksgiving Day, he will join in that patriotism.

Baxter is very thankful that he is at last an American citizen.  He hopes that everyone gives thanks every day for what they have.
